Building on the Past... ...Believing in the Future!
We have much to be thankful for at St. Christopher Parish. Our parish has a rich history of worship, prayer, evangelization, service, and community for over 70 years. Our parish is a very welcoming place where we live in the intense presence of God, through the Sacramental Life of the Church with Holy Mass, our faith formation programs, and our diverse ministries. It is such a blessing to be your pastor, and I see every day how our community of missionary disciples lives out the Church’s mission.
Our church building provides a welcoming space to live our faith in community and bring us closer to God. Family life is one of the foundations that makes this parish a home for intentional disciples. As our community of families continues to grow, the reality of our current challenge is we do not have enough space in the practical sense to meet the needs of our parish’s formational, catechetical, and social life. We can’t say that the Eucharist is the center of our hearts and the center of our parish if we can’t accommodate those who really want to grow in their knowledge of and personal relationship with God.
For these reasons, after thorough discernment and consultation, we are embarking on a capital campaign to raise $3,000,000, which will allow us to build the first stage of a brand new, beautiful Parish Center.
Whether you are new to St. Christopher Parish or have been here from the beginning, I ask you to prayerfully reflect on how you have been and will continue to be blessed by this parish. I invite you to prayerfully consider how you are able to contribute your financial gifts to this crucial effort for our parish and join with me in praying for the success of our campaign. Sacrificial giving is an expression of our faith and a way to put our faith into action.
The wide range of gift opportunities makes it possible for virtually every family to take part in the program. Time will be set aside during all Masses to make their pledge.
Thank you for your prayerful consideration and generous support for our parish as we look to the future with hope and continue to build the Kingdom of God.
Blessings in Christ,
Fr. Edson Elizarrarás, Pastor Don’t Forget to Smile!
